Who We Are

Sanatha Travel Service based in Kandy, Sri Lanka, committed to total customer satisfaction through building tailored services and personal connections to make memories that last a lifetime.

Sanatha Travels aspires to do more than simply take you and your group from one place to another. Our belief is that people travel to Sri Lanka not simply to check destinations off their list, but rather to feel its essence: and the essence of Sri Lankan culture is community and service to others.
Our business strategy is founded on the intention to

share this home-style heart of Sri Lankan service. To achieve this our drivers are hand selected to be proficient not only in their driving skills, but to have a knowledge of the country, and a genuine character.
Our mission is to build a business, by building relationships. Find out why our guests are talking about us, and create your own journey.

Small Miracle

“No wonder, Sri Lanka is a small miracle. The Island of Sri Lanka is a small universe; it contains as many variations of culture, scenery, and climate as some countries a dozen times its size. Lovely beaches, beautiful landscapes, impressive ruins, a vibrant culture and charming people."

A Center for mind and body balance

Sanatha Suwaya

Sanatha Suwaya should be thought of as an educational center for meditative arts. We create a retreat style environment suitable to meditative practices, and our facility offers accommodation, hospitality, safety and structure.
We are a non-religious organization and do not promote any philosophy over another. As a "wellness" center, we work to provide a space of peace, where a variety of wholesome experiences and services can be offered.
Long and short term guests can join guided meditation sessions, extended retreat programs, and will be provided options to participate in “like practices” on an everyday basis. “Like practices” are systems intended for development of human health including both mental and physical modalities. Systems such as Yoga, Reiki, Ayurveda, and acupunture are but a few examples. By building cooperative relationships with skilled practitioners of differing methodologies and inviting them to utilize the space provided, guests gain exposure and opportunity to receive their services in a forum benefitting both teacher and student. for more details visit www.sanathasuwaya.org
